The offer price for the main trading target has reportedly changed

The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to be an active team at the trade deadline next spring. Milwaukee has recovered from its difficult start to the new season and has finally gotten things under control.

While they still have a long way to go before they are fully considered Eastern Conference contenders, Milwaukee has too much talent to ignore. The Bucks believe they can compete for the title this season, and it appears the front office will do whatever it takes to win.

Milwaukee was linked to all sorts of players before the trade deadline, but they were heavily linked to a few Brooklyn Nets players. It could be that the Bucks make a deal with a rival in the East.

According to NBA insider Evan Sidery of Forbes, the Nets have lowered their price on forward Dorian Finney-Smith. Milwaukee has been linked to Finney-Smith and this news could lead to them potentially pursuing him.

“The Nets lowered the asking price for Dorian Finney-Smith to a first-round pick in early exploratory discussions. Finney-Smith is essentially on an expiring contract with a $15.4 million player option for 2025-26. Expect great interest from many of the applicants.”

This season, Finney-Smith averaged 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals per game. The veteran forward could easily provide the Bucks with a solid defensive wing who can shoot well from the 3-point line.

In 15 games this season, Finney-Smith shot a career-high 42.2 percent from beyond the 3-point line. Placing him alongside Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo could be beneficial as he would give them a reliable long-range threat who could put pressure on opposing defenses.

Milwaukee has struggled defensively at times this season and Finney-Smith could be a solid addition. Finney-Smith is also under contract for next year under a player option and is likely to exercise it.

The Bucks could sign him for more than a season and a half if they signed him. This could be the difference between Milwaukee winning the title and falling behind again.
