The office in La County da Razzia Huntington Park Rathaus as part of the corruption sons

Huntington Park, California (KABC) – A search command was delivered on Wednesday in the Huntington Park City Hall as part of a corruption examination of the city’s water center.

The authorities said that the search for search was served by the district prosecutor’s office in Los Angeles at eleven locations, eight of them in Huntington Park, in the probe, which is called “Operation Dirty Pond”.

Current and former city council members and city officials have supposedly misused millions of dollars of taxpayers who are intended for a failed pool project.

The town hall was closed and had yellow crime scene bands in front and side entrances. Only the law enforcement authorities were approved in the building.

The houses of Mayor Karina Macias and council member Eddie Martinez were also attacked by the places.

In an explanation, Huntington Park officers said the following:

“The city of Huntington Park admits that the district prosecutor’s office of the district in Los Angeles has visited the current and former city officials. The city is obliged to work completely with the public prosecutor and continue to solve the matter immediately and transparently.”

The mayor Arturo Flores, who said his home was not searched, said to Eyewitness News that he expected the attack on Wednesday.

“It is difficult to shine or uncover something when it comes to an active examination and people are already working on it. You have to choose back, but I had enough until a month ago,” said Flores. “I started publicly and was very open that I would work for a formal examination of the failed pool project, which is now clearly examined by the district prosecutor of the LA district.”

Those who had to take care of the town hall were frustrated that it was closed. Some told Eyewitness News that they were not surprised by the corruption examination.

“Not surprised because we asked the federal government to investigate what is going on in the city,” said Felix Romero. “We waited and I don’t understand why we never did anything because we know that these people steal from the city.”

Some of the people examined are providers who do business with the city.

No arrests were made.
