The recent Alabama flip returns to the previous commitment

Jace Clarizio, who recently committed to Alabama, is expected to return to Michigan State, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Clarizio committed to the Tide on November 26th, reversing his commitment from Michigan State, where he had been committed since May of this year, but is now reversing his decision.

A native of East Lansing, Michigan, Clarizio is a perfect hometown choice for the Spartans, but chose the Crimson Tide after visiting Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s home game against Mercer, which the Tide won 52-7. That same week, he was seen taking the field for his high school playoff game wearing Alabama-style gloves.

Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds, Clarizio possesses both strength and speed. He has the ability to make defenders miss shots in open space and operate between the tackles for tough yardage.

Currently, Alabama has the second-best recruiting class in the country and is still in play for some of the best talent in the country.

4-star wide receiver Derek Meadows recently decommitted from the LSU Tigers in November and is reportedly being heavily pursued by Alabama. Michigan is also in the mix for the wideout, but On3Steve Wiltfong has made his official forecast for the flood.
