The rival of the Detroit Pistons sets an interesting trade price on 2x NBA All-Star

Once again, NBA rumors suggest that the Chicago Bulls are open for business. The rival Detroit Pistons may want to move on from some of their older veterans to start rebuilding a brighter future for their organization.

As expected, Zach LaVine’s name was thrown into the mix. This also applies to 34-year-old center and two-time NBA All-Star Nikola Vucevic.

While LaVine has been a frequent candidate for the trade block over the years, Vucevic’s name hasn’t been mentioned in rumors as regularly. But as the Bulls fight to establish themselves as Eastern Conference contenders, the possibility appears to be growing that Vucevic could be on the rise. Apparently the costs are not too high at the moment.

According to NBA insider Jake FischerOne NBA GM suggested that Vucevic’s “likely price point” is two second-round picks. That’s pretty interesting for teams looking for a productive, experienced veteran.

Vucevic has been a full-time starter for the Chicago Bulls since 2021. Last season he appeared in 74 games and averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds on 48 percent shooting.

This season, Vucevic appeared in 21 games and scored 21 points and 10 rebounds per game. He has made 58 percent of his field goals and is shooting three-pointers at a rate of 47 percent, taking nearly five shots from distance per game.

Before the start of the 2024-2025 NBA season, the Pistons were considered potential sellers ahead of the February deadline. After a 14-1968 season, Detroit assumed things would get better, but didn’t quite have their sights set on making it big in the postseason.

They’re looking much better so far, having started the year with a record of 9-13. While it’s still too early for Detroit to decide which side to take, Vucevic should still be a player they keep an eye on, as Jalen Duren’s inconsistency has been one of the Pistons’ biggest question marks this year .
