Romanian Foreign Minister said that he was not under pressure that the envoy of US President Donald Trump increases the restrictions of the social media influence Andrew Tate, who is charged with human trafficking, even though they discussed the case.

The Financial Times reported on Monday, citing sources that US officials had raised the case of Tate and his brother Tristan, both former kickboxers with double US and British citizenship, in a call to the Romanian government.

It was called Richard Grenell from Trump’s special representative, the Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu at the Munich Security Conference. The FT announced a source that an inquiry was made to return the passports of the brothers and enable them to travel while waiting for the legal procedure.

The brothers are forbidden to leave Romania until a criminal investigation into the establishment of an organized criminal group, human trafficking, trade in minors, sexual intercourse with minors and money laundering. You have denied all misconduct.

Tate, the highest profile suspect, who was brought to trial for human trafficking in Romania, was banished by almost all social media platforms before Trump’s consultant Elon Musk X had now taken over and stopped his account.

Hurezeanu announced Euronews late Tuesday that he had recorded an informal conversation with Grenell in a hall during the Munich Conference. Hurezeanu quoted Grenell and said he was interested in the fate of the Tate of Brothers.

“I did not perceive this statement as a pressure, but only a repetition of a known attitude,” said Hurezeanu.

“I do not know which pressure of another nature was carried out before or after, but what I discussed with Mr. Grenell was warm, informal, short, non -binding, and I certainly did not capture any form of print.”

A first criminal proceedings against Tate and his brother failed in December when a Bucharest court decided not to start the procedure and referred to errors in the indictment.

A Romanian court increased a house arrest against the act in January and replaced it with an easier preventive measure. In October, a court decided that he should get luxury cars worth around 4 million euros (4.43 million US dollars), which were confiscated by prosecutors until the investigation.

In Munich, the US Vice President JD Vance last week made the European governments for what he described as a censorship of freedom of speech and its political opponents, made a blow and expressly mentioned the cancellation of the Romanian presidential election on the basis of what he said Be flabic evidence.

The Supreme Court of Romania ordered a repetition of the vote after the suspicion of the Russian interference in favor of the unexpected winner of the first round, the pro-Russian, right-wing extremist Calin Georgescu,. Russia contested any interference in the Romania election campaigns.
