The septa train drives in flames near Crum Lynne Station in Ridley Park, Delaware County; 350 passengers evacuated

Ridley Park, Pa. (Wpvi) – A septa train rose in Delaware County on Thursday evening.

It happened around 6 p.m. near the Crum Lynne Station in Ridley Park.

The six-car train carried around 350 people from Philadelphia to Wilmington when it caught fire. Rauch showed a picture shared by Action News, which rose from the windows.

According to Septa spokesman Andrew Busch, when the train was evacuated, he was learned that the first car caught fire.

“Very fast actions of our crews, who have contributed to a secure result,” said Busch. “We don’t know where it started, just that it was under the train in the area and then obviously devoured the train into flames.”

Passengers say that Action News Smoke was reported a few minutes after leaving Philadelphia.
