The Shroud Guardian’s rarest achievement is easily overlooked

Key insights

  • Only 3.8% of players achieved Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s rarest achievement.
  • The achievement is one of the game’s few achievements that is easy to miss.
  • Seven times more people have defeated each High Dragon than have achieved this achievement.

Dragon Age: The Shroudwarden’s Rarest Achievement is not an extraordinary feat of bravery or a grueling collecting competition, but rather an easily overlooked series of tasks for Rook to complete in the Hossberg Wetlands.

In Peace is Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s rarest achievement on Steam, with only 3.8% of players achieving it. The reason for the rarity of this achievement is that players have to complete multiple quests and the final part of the achievement is an unmarked task. In other words, the final part of the achievement has no quest markers.

To begin, Rook and his merry band of world savers must complete several side quests in the Hossberg Wetlands: “The Shack in the Plague,” “Something Evil,” and “Something Is Coming.” The first is a quest where you try to find a local doctor, and the other two are quests where you help the Gray Wardens repel attacks and kill darkspawn, the Order’s two favorite pastimes.

You also need to complete the main quest “Fire and Ice,” in which you defeat two dragons, Corius and Vyrantus. Afterwards, the “Brona’s Bloom” flower will begin to sprout again and you will need to pick the flower from three different locations on the local map. Afterwards, you can return to where you defeated the dragons and present the flowers to a ghost. This will give you Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s rarest achievement: “In Peace.”

The other rarest achievements are late game story progression achievements, so no surprise there. Interestingly, only 12.1% of players have fully upgraded a weapon, armor, and accessories. You don’t open any chests and it shows. In fact, more people have defeated every High Dragon in Dragon Age: The Veilguard (22.5%) than have upgraded their equipment.

There are 52 achievements in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, most of which are story-based. One of the factors that contribute to In Peace being so rare is that you probably won’t get it if you play through the game normally.
