“The stupidest thing I’ve ever seen” – Fans are furious as Weverse magazine releases a teaser for the upcoming interview with BTS’ J-Hope, sparking new speculation about the project

On December 23, South Korean social media app Weverse released a teaser of their upcoming interview with BTS’s J-Hope, which will appear in their Weverse magazine. The 20-second black and white teaser included several close-up shots of the BTS member wearing multiple snake rings on her fingers.

The teaser for BTS’s “J-Hope” soon went viral on the internet as fans speculated about the idol’s future projects being announced in the upcoming interview.

As a result, fans flooded the internet with their anticipation and excitement for his highly anticipated comeback after completing his military training in October this year.

A user on X commented:

“This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen??”

Many other fans dropped their speculations online. While some in the interview said that BTS’s J-Hope was about to announce his new album, others expected a world tour.

“Omgggggggggggg theory: There will be indirect spoilers in this interview and you won’t know until much later,” one fan speculated.

“Okay, I’m connecting a few dots, Seokjin’s WV magazine was sexy and he was happy, and we got an album where he’s happy and extremely sexy… that means Hobi’s new album will be… having to do with snakes… that means…oh,” another admirer commented.

“Album announcement December 24th at midnight????” said one fan.

When some saw multiple snake rings on his fingers in the latest Weverse teaser, some said that BTS’ J-Hope’s new album probably has something to do with snakes.

“The title of Hobi’s new album has something to do with snakes, doesn’t it? Cobra? King cobra? Snakes in the grass? Serpentine? SOMETHING. He even wears snake rings…” another fan commented.

“You know what’s coming. NEW ALBUM AND WORLD TOUR. AMIRIGHT CLOWN NATION,” one fan wrote.

“The way it takes my breath away because I was there for the first time when he announced a tour, thank God that’s not the case (yet),” another fan explained.

Rumors about BTS’ J-Hope’s new album began circulating in November 2024

On November 15, 2024, Korean media outlet Naver announced that BTS’ J-Hope would release an album ahead of the group’s comeback in 2025. The rumors sparked when the news company published the report on HYBE Labels’ stock values.

According to the report, the entertainment company’s stock prices were expected to rise with the upcoming release of BTS member Kim Seokjin’s solo debut album. HAPPYand j-hope’s second record ahead of the group’s comeback in the second half of 2025.

Previously, on October 17, BTS’s J-Hope officially completed his 18-month military service and enlisted in April 2023.

Shortly after leaving the service, he appeared as the starting pitcher for the 2024 Korean Series Game on October 23, 2024. This was his first public appearance after his discharge from the military.
