The suspect of the French mosque remains at the freeway after he has killed the Muslim worshiper

Paris – A man who was suspected of killing a Muslim worshiper in a mosque in the south of France was still on the run on Sunday, the authorities said in an incident described by Prime Minister Francois Bayrou as “Islamophobic”.

Both men were alone in the mosque in the former mining city of La Grand Combe on Friday when the victim was fatally stabbed. The attacker reported the attack on his phone, and the surveillance cameras film material showed him that he called “Allah” insults what God means in Arabic, the local media said.

The Grand Mosque of Paris condemned the attack in a statement and said the victim had just completed the mosque when it was killed.

It asked the authorities to quickly illuminate the reasons for the attack, and asked the judicial authorities to say whether it was treated as a “terrorist” and to consider his “scale and seriousness … for the security of everyone”.

The Minister of Justice Gerald Darmanin convicted a “detention of rustling murder” on Saturday, “violating the hearts of all believers of all Muslims in France”.

Bayrou also condemned an act of “Islamophobic jewelry empty on video”.

“We are shoulder on the shoulder with the victim’s family and the shocked worshipers,” he said. “The state’s resources are mobilized to ensure that the murderer is caught and punished.”

The SOS racism campaign group joined the demands for more clarity and said it would take part in a march that will later be organized in La Grand Comb to support the victim on Sunday.
