The Titans are conducting an in-person interview with Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham for the team’s general manager position

NASHVILLE – The Titans conducted an in-person interview with Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham for the team’s general manager position on Wednesday.

The Titans previously conducted a virtual interview with Cunningham over the weekend.

Personal interviews with other candidates will continue in the coming days.

The in-person interviews at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park will include Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, president and CEO Burke Nihill, president of football operations Chad Brinker, head coach Brian Callahan and other members of the team’s football staff.

Cunningham is in his third season as assistant GM with the Bears.

In Chicago, he served as Bears general manager Ryan Poles’ top lieutenant.

Cunningham came to Chicago with 14 years of NFL front office experience and most recently served as director of player personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles, a position he was promoted to at the start of the 2021 season.

Prior to his promotion, Cunningham served as Assistant Director of Player Personnel (2019-20) and led the college scouting department as Director of College Scouting from 2017-18.

A two-time Super Bowl champion (XLVII and LII) as a member of the front office of the Baltimore Ravens and Eagles, Cunningham’s NFL front office career began in 2008 when he was hired in Baltimore as a player personnel assistant. After five seasons as an assistant, he worked as a Southeast Area Scout for the Ravens for two seasons (2013-14) before taking on additional responsibilities as a Southeast/Southwest Area Scout from 2015-16.

Along with Cunningham, the Titans previously conducted virtual first-round interviews with Dolphins senior personnel executive Reggie McKenzie, former Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff, Buccaneers assistant general manager John Spytek, Seahawks senior director of player personnel Matt Berry, Ed Dodds, the Colts’ assistant GM, and Bills Terrance Gray, director of player personnel, Catherine Hickman, Browns’ assistant GM and vice president of football operations, Mike Patriots assistant general manager Borgonzi and Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan.

The Titans also conducted in-person interviews with Ed Dodds and Terrance Gray on Tuesday and with Mike Borgonzi the previous Wednesday.
