The UFC is now available to watch on Disney+ as ESPN joins the streaming giant

The UFC’s broadcast partner, ESPN, is getting its own sports hub on Disney+.

“What’s in it for me?” – Islam Makhachev is not interested in another double champ fight

Under the Walt Disney umbrella, ESPN Hulu follows the giant streaming platform with more attention than ever before – an estimated 158 million subscribers worldwide, according to Statista. The Walt Disney Company announced the launch of ESPN on Wednesday, paving the way to a seamless viewing experience between live sports, movies and television shows.

From childhood Disney classics to brutal knockouts in the UFC, Disney+ now has something for everyone in the Hulu/ESPN package.

“This launch caps a fantastic year of innovation at Disney+,” he said Disney+ President Alisa Bowen. “Earlier this year we made Hulu available on the Disney+ app, and now we’re doing the same for ESPN+. This gives our bundle subscribers one place to consume everything they love from all our brands.”

In the first 90 days of launch, 5,000 live events will be available to bundle subscribers, with ESPN+ offering more than 30,000 events per year, as well as on-demand reruns, original content and studio programming.

What exactly does this mean for the UFC? Much more attention is being drawn to the premium MMA promotion with individual subscribers seeing what sports ESPN has to offer on their title, with the appeal of the UFC being “as real as it gets.”

“They will have a really easy way to discover everything we offer from (ESPN and Hulu) and the option to upgrade their subscription for the full bundle experience,” Bowen said of standalone Disney+ subscribers.”

It’s worth noting that the UFC’s broadcast deal with ESPN is up for renewal at the end of 2025. Until then, enjoy watching the fights on the Disney+ or ESPN+ apps.

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is also available to watch for subscribers to the Disney+ package.
