The veteran of Eagles expected retirement after 15 seasons

Philadelphia – The end seems to have arrived for Brandon Graham. The defensive end of Eagles will organize a press conference on noon on Tuesday to announce its future. It is rare when a player holds a press conference to announce that he will return. So the expectation is that Graham will retire.

Many asked whether he was the right choice in 2010 when the Eagles were a lot of tasks to get him. They had the 24th election this year, but together with two third rounders (No. 70 and 87) sent them to the Denver Broncos to record in 13th place.

Graham played 13 games as a rookie and made three sacks with eight QB hits. His season was canceled when he suffered a torn ACL on December 12th in week 14 on December 12th.

He was put in an injured reserve two days later and a microfract surgery on the right knee was subjected to nine days after the injury.

It was the type of operation that ended for some players.

Graham came back, but not for some time. He returned in week 9 of the following season, but performed in just three games.

Finally healthy, in 2012, Graham started flight. He was consistent enough to extend and collect sacks, but it was not until 2022 that he put together his first and only double -digit sack season with 11.

People stopped asking if he was a bust years ago when his career bloomed.

The defensive Lineman was in third place with 76.5 career bags, which came to third place on the list of the Eagles sack sack list behind Reggie White (124) and Trent Cole (88.5).

He won two Super Bowl championships and made one of the more unforgettable plays in franchise history when he coordinated the goat, Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady, in Super Bowl Lii in the last 90 seconds to help the Eagles hold the New England dynasty 41: 33.

It was the first Lombardi trophy to win the Eagles.

At the end of the 2023 season, he announced that 2024 would be last year. That he would be on a “farewell tour”.

Things went well, so well that Graham was asked whether he could change his opinion and possibly return for the 16th year. He joked: “I will not leave any money on the table.”

His farewell tour was interrupted on November 24th. He tore his triceps and announced that his season was over. Then the Eagles went to playoffs as No. 2 and landed in Super Bowl Lix against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Graham returned, although the schedule for returning from such a injury was about six months before a typical schedule to return normally. So he played in the Super Bowl and logged 13 snapshots with a duel. The numbers don’t matter. What counted was that he played. And went out of a winner.
