The Walmart Black Friday Deals event is live – here are the best deals

Walmart’s second Black Friday Deals event kicked off Monday, November 25, with a $178 55-inch 4K Roku TV, $29 JBL noise-cancelling headphones, and new record low prices for multiple Apple devices.

The deals are available online and on the Walmart mobile app through Sunday, December 1, unless they sell out beforehand — although some items that disappeared earlier in the week were back in stock at the time of writing. This includes $30 worth of digital copies The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for $49.

Selected offers from the sale hit Walmart stores on November 29th at 6 a.m. local time, Black Friday. The brick-and-mortar branches are open until 11:00 p.m. local time.

The big box store joined other major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Target in dropping Black Friday deals long before the actual holiday. On November 11th, the company launched its first round of door openers.

Best Apple offer

Why we like it:

Apple’s current entry-level smartwatch is due out in 2022 and features activity tracking, high/low heart rate alerts, accident detection and a fairly long battery life – in our tests it lasted just over 27 hours per charge. (Mashable tech editor Kim Gedeon recommends it to “fitness-focused” users.) Walmart has beaten everyone else to the price of the smaller 40mm non-cellular size, except Amazon, which is offering its $100 discount during its own Black -Friday sales equates. Last time we checked, it was $169 at Best Buy and $169.99 at Target. Your color options are Midnight and Starlight.

Why we like it:

This is one of the best QLED TV deals we’ve seen this Black Friday season. Amazon’s cheapest option in the 55-inch size category is $299.99, while Best Buy’s cheapest competitor is a very competitive $219.99. This is a Google TV, while Walmart’s model is a Roku TV. So the model you ultimately add to your shopping cart depends on your platform preference.

Why we like it:

Full disclosure: Our initial reaction to this deal was: Is that allowed? $29 is a surprisingly and stupidly low price for a really solid, comfortable budget pair of headphones with good noise cancellation and long battery life. (JLab rated them at up to 70 hours; we’re currently testing them and think that’s accurate.) Elsewhere, the JBuds Lux ANC are available for $46.99 on Amazon and $49.99 on the JLab website , so no idea how Walmart managed one. Choose from four colors: Graphite, Cloud, Green and Purple.
