The young Republicans of North Dakota propose a solution that the exploitation of children by legislators – Inforum

Bismarck – A group of Republicans in the legislation of North Dakota has proposed that a decision for the exploitation of children with civil servants is submitted.

The organization of the young Republicans of North Dakota has created a resolution in which the legislative management has been asked to establish the establishment of “obligatory reporting obligations for civil servants, an investigative authority for allegations of the exploitation of children and abuse in which civil servants are involved, and serious amounts for civil servants who deal with the group Hide to consider.

The proposal follows the publication of documents in the case of sexual abuse by the former Senator Ray Holmberg, which claimed a pattern from Holmberg to use his position as a chosen civil servant to ask sex from children and young adults, sometimes in return for opportunities to meet other top officials.

Holmberg, a Republican from Grand Forks, has guilty of being traveled abroad in order to have sexually abused minors. He will be convicted in Fargo on Wednesday, March 26.

“When we learned the horrific details of Ray Holmberg’s spoiled life, we knew that words were not enough,” said the publication of the young Republicans. “In cooperation with the NRDYR legislators, we have developed laws in which we issued crimes against children and corruption that allows such a betrayal.”

The group will also work between the legislative sessions during the meantime to “create politics that tirelessly pursues the reform to reveal predators and to reduce the systems that have shielded the former Senator Ray Holmberg,” says the press release.

Former Bismarck MP Brandon Prichard, the group chairman, said he hoped that the resolution was already submitted at the end of this week.

“There must be an answer to make sure that this never happens again,” Prichard told the forum.

The draft law would have to go to the late draft law of the legislator, said Prichard. The committee would then decide whether the invoice is progressing. The majority leader of the house, Mike Lefor, R-Dickinson, heads the house committee. Senator Janne Myrdal, R-Edinburg, is chairman of the Senate Committee.

Prichard said the draft of the resolution had received a generally positive reaction among the legislators. He said he hoped that the leadership in both chambers would ultimately support legislation.

Prichard said it was “determined” who the main sponsor of the resolution would be, although he listed the representatives Matthew Heilman, TJ Brown, Dawson Holle and Nico Rios as among the members of the young Republican Caucus.

While Prichard said that the recent allegations in Holmberg’s case have a “sadness”, he said that the young Republicans put “our money where our mouth is” to prevent further abuse by legislative measures in this meeting.
