This 40% off Cyber Monday deal makes this Amazfit running watch MUCH more attractive

I’ve tested dozens of running watches and thanks to Cyber Monday, some of my favorites are now affordable. But I’m reviewing a watch I tested, the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, now that it’s dropped $179 (40% off) for Cyber Mondaya much cheaper price for what it offers.

The Amazfit Cheetah Pro hardware is (mostly) solid: the 1.45-inch AMOLED display, a week’s battery life under heavy use, titanium bezel, microphone/speaker for Bluetooth calls, dual-band GPS, and altimeter for accurate location and altitude and A 43 g light frame (with straps) ensures a convincing overall package!

The display could be brighter, the speaker louder, and the GPS and heart rate data a little more accurate to match Garmin’s. But the training software itself is solid: It gave me reliable post-run recovery time estimates and realistic training load numbers after my test workouts. My complaints are much easier to bear in this price range, and if you’re worried about optical HR accuracy you can always connect an external HRM.

✅Recommended if: You don’t want to pay a fitness subscription for Zepp Coach’s AI insights, you need Bluetooth calling and voice commands on a non-smartwatch, and you need guidance on what type of training you need to do to improve as a runner.

❌Skip this offer if: You can accept a cheaper Garmin watch without a titanium bezel or downloadable local maps, but it’s superior to the Cheetah Pro in terms of battery life and GPS accuracy, but at least equal to it in training suggestions and insight into training load.

I prefer Garmin watches, but only the $599 Forerunner 965 (currently). $499 for Cyber Monday) has a titanium bezel and topographic maps, and for a microphone and speaker you’ll need a Venu 3 (which doesn’t have any special running tools). So in theory, the Cheetah Pro was already a bargain at $299 and is now a steal at $179.

If you’re more interested in a Garmin Cyber Monday deal on a running watch, look no further than the Garmin Forerunner 165 $199 ($50 off)This makes it only slightly more expensive than a Cheetah Pro. It has a smaller display, a cheaper design, only breadcrumb navigation, and no training load – but makes up for it with daily recommended workouts, recovery times, and better heart rate/GPS accuracy. Still, you can see that Amazfit’s extremely affordable Cheetah Pro is now a compelling alternative!

You can also check out a proper smartwatch like the Pixel Watch 3 45mm LTE ($170 off for Cyber Monday), which offers much better Bluetooth calling, commands, cardio load and AI smarts for workouts via Fitbit. But most runners would prefer the Cheetah Pro’s 7-day battery life over the Watch 3’s 2-day battery life!

While I find the Zepp app and Cheetah Pro software a little less sophisticated than other brands and really wish the display was brighter in direct sunlight, the Amazfit Cheetah Pro is an all-round winner at this Cyber Monday price.
