This The Batman Part 2 plot theory has me giddy with anticipation

As DC Studios prepares to launch its cinematic universe with its Hope of Hope, Superman, the natural order of things begs for balance. Here comes Batman in the embodiment of revenge. As we all know, The Batman Part 2 will be released in 2027, and after the cinematic masterpiece The Batman, it’s almost impossible to convey how frustratingly painful it must be for fans to wait that long. So we fans find several theories regarding the plot of Batman Part 2 and I have come across some of them that make a certain level of sense and I can’t wait to share them with you. So without further ado, let’s dive in dilly-dally shall we?

Talking about my theory, we all know that The Batman Part 2 has been delayed for a 2027 release and I might have an idea behind the reason for this delay. Matt Reeves recently confirmed that Penguin Season 2 is in the works and he and his team are working on ideas to approach this new season. I feel that with Penguin replacing the Falcones and now being Gotham City’s crime boss, Penguin Season 2 is being used to create a story that makes it easier for the Batman Part 2 to do his own thing.

Penguin Season 1 was here to show us Ozwald’s rise to power. However, he’s still set to become the villain that DC fans are familiar with, and throwing him against the goons of Gotham, Penguin Season 2 will see him reach his full glory, gradually making him enough of a threat to Batman Ping radar. I feel that the sequel was delayed when the intent of Penguin Season 2 was released followed by Batman 2 for the reasons mentioned above.

The Batman Part 2 could bring the Court of Owls as the main villain

While I was break-scrolling on Reddit, I came across several theories regarding the plot of Batman Part 2. While most of these theories were pretty ambiguous, one of them in particular hit home and made a lot of sense. According to this theory, brought forth by Mrrpepper1998In The Batman, we saw that the DA of Gotham, Gill Coulson, was killed by the Riddler, and after the floods, Bella Reál announced the formation of an anti-crime/corruption task force. To carry out this task, she will need a courageous and fearless DA, and this is the perfect opportunity to introduce Harvey Dent as the new Da of Gotham who will lead this task force.

Since the Batman universe does not follow an exact comic book storyline, with the introduction of this task force, there is a possibility that the corrupt politicians and businessmen of Gotham will operate from the shadows and give birth to the Court of Owls. Batman gets a lead on such an organization and in order to infiltrate their ranks, we’ll see more of Bruce Wayne this time around and address the complaints fans had of him not having enough screen time in the first film.

In the meantime, since Penguin has become the crime boss of Gotham, he could ship back to Batman about the existence of such an organization to save his skin from the Caped Crusader.

The Batman Part 2 could also set up Part 3, with Selina Kyle breaking out her half-sister Sofia Falcone from Arkham. This could lead to a mass prison break, freeing the Riddler and Barry Keoghan’s Joker from captivity and setting up Batman Part 3, inspired by the comic’s run Jokes and puzzle war. In the comic, Joker and Riddler go to war against each other and the entire city of Gotham falls victim to the crossfire between them. Here, Batman and Jim Gordon team up to stop both villains from taking the entire city with them.

So what do you think about this Batman 2 plot theory? For me it would be a crazy plot for the upcoming film. If you have your own theories for the plot of Batman Part 2, use this post as a reason for discussion and while we wait for official details, let us dive into your theories too as you spin with us for more updates!
