Three car crash in Milano kills Rogers ISD student, parents

According to the Texas Ministry of Public Security (DPS), the crash was caused by a semi-layer that did not control its speed.

According to the authorities, the crash was caused by a 26-year-old driver of the Freightliner from Bellmead, who did not control his speed and ultimately collides with Kia and Ford. The crash pushed the Kia into a nearby ditch, where it rolled over.

The three residents of the Ford were declared dead at the crime scene, which DPS identified as a 43-year-old Clint McCaffety, 39-year-old Meaghan Nicole McCaffety and a 16-year-old man from Temple.

Rogers ISD identified the 16-year-old on Tuesday in a post as Connor McCaffety, who was a junior student.

“Our hearts go to everyone who mourn this loss,” said superintendent Duana Brashear in a statement on Tuesday. “Support for students and employees will continue to be available in the coming days and weeks … Please keep this family in your request.”

The district gave on Tuesday that they currently have no information about services. The extended family published an explanation of the school.

“Instead of flowers, the McCaffety family wants to donate to support Conner, Clint and Megan’s family,” said the family in the explanation. “Contributions can be made to Kelsey McCaffety at Buckholt’s State Bank in Rogers.” Kelsey McCaffety is Connor McCaffety’s sister.

The woman who drove the Kia was brought to Temple for treatment in Baylor Scott & White Hospital, but no update was made available to her status for the latest update.
