‘Thunderbolts’ villain the emptiness and waxed, explained

Although the main threat to Marvels Thunderbolts* Remains in the shade, his identity is clear.

So far, the studio refused to recognize the identity of Lewis Pullman’s character beyond its nickname “Bob”, although the readers of Marvel Comics found it out early by putting all evidence together. A new promo unveiled on Monday, which is tailored to ticket sales, this number finally by name … Well, one of his names.

“I’m the emptiness,” explains Pullmans Bob. “There is no use when I fight … you don’t know what I’m able to do. Maybe I have to show you.”

A separate international Thunderbolts* Trailer then mentions the name Sentry. Mel (Geraldine Viswanathan), Val’s assistant, says: “Sentry went from the rails and he is dangerous. The Avengers are gone. Nobody comes to save the day.”

“He is invincible, all powerful, stronger than all Avengers who have rolled into one,” says Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) in the film material.

In the comics, a teenager steals at schizophrenia and fear that Robert Reynolds (they could call him “bob”) an experimental serum of his high school professor in the hope of becoming high. Unknown to him, this preparation is the product of a failed government company to reproduce the super soldier. BOB develops incredible superman-like forces: strength, invulnerability, flight, speed, improved sense and energy projection.

In view of its mental problems, however, the serum creates a malignant old age Ego in Bob’s spirit, which is called emptiness. In order to counteract this evil unit, Bob unconsciously creates the wax post, its benevolent person, complete with a superhero -cloak, a yellow spandex and a huge “s” on his buckle. Marvel Studios did not officially confirm Pullmans Bob as Robert Reynolds/Sentry/the emptiness. However, it cannot be denied that the setup for this unveiling in the various previously published trailers.

Hasbro even revealed pictures of his upcoming Thunderbolts* Action figures for the Marvel Legends Toy Line, and the diligger was clearly made in the similarity of Pullman.

Necke his role at San Diego Comic-Con last year, said Pullman Entertainment weekly“I will only say that everyone has their own nicknames and Bob is not his only name, since Lewis is not my only name.”

In the Thunderbolts* Promos, the emptiness presents itself as a version of guard posts that is completely wrapped in shade. He exhibits chaos by spreading the darkness and transforming his victims into shade. Since Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson Hasn’t Reconstitued the Avengers Yet, Val Assembles Her Own Off-Brand Avengers to Handle the Void: Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Us Agent/John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Alexei, Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbor), Ava Starr/Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko).

It will undoubtedly be a difficult mission for this crew, given the fantastic power sentry/emptiness. However, we know that Pullman, Pugh, Stan, Harbor, Russell and John-Kamen will return to the MCU next year Avengers: Doomsday. At least some of them go away from this encounter.

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* is opened in the cinemas in May 2. Tickets are now on sale.
