Tiger open the SEC tournament against rebels

Nashville | No. 3 Auburn will be against Ole Miss for the third time in the quarter-finals of the SEC tournament on Friday, after the rebels of Arkansas, 83-80, dropped three or second two seconds ago two seconds before Thursday.

The Tigers won the first two matchups, 92-82 on February 1st in Oxford and on February 26th in the Neville Arena 106-76. Bruce Pearl’s squad enters the conference tournament to get some boasting back after dropping the last two games of the regular season.

“We don’t have a big taste in our mouth for us after we have lost the last two games of the year,” said the Auburn coach. But we lost two teams that are sweet 16-caliber teams. And we will see the team that we will play in the opening round, but it will also be a quad -1 game. “

The injuries to Denver Jones, Johni Broome and Chad Baker-Mazara injured the Tigers a little in the track, but the second champions of the regular season were a little luck with their health into the weekend.

“I think everyone is a bit beaten, but I think we’ll get pretty healthy to be honest,” said Pearl. “In a sense that I think Denver probably feels a little better. Chad probably feels a little better. Johni returns 100%, so you are right not to discount none of these injuries, but I have the feeling that we could take Gosh, we could take a much worse form on Sunday, Tuesday, and now on Wednesday, only on ourselves.”

Broome, the SEC player of the Year and the national player of the Year of Sports News, believes that the last few days have been advantageous for themselves and his team.

“We definitely Jugen to play someone again,” he said. “I think these last two days were great because we work on ourselves. We criticize what Auburn has to do, and it was very advantageous for us.”

The rebels have six players who are led by average double -digit points in points, led by Pedulla (15.1) and Jaemyn Brakefield (11.2). Malik Dia, the leading rebounder of the team, led Chris Beard’s squad in the victory against the Razibacks with 19 points, while collecting eight rebounds.

Auburn and Ole Fräulein tap CT in the Bridgestone Arena at noon, whereby the game is broadcast on ESPN.
