Til Schweiger plays the main role in the crime series “Fatal Game” for Vaba TV

New streaming platform Vaba TV, launching in January, has acquired crime series “Fatal Game,” an eight-part drama starring German actor Til Schweiger (“Inglourious Basterds”). The USATV Productions project also stars French-Brazilian actors Renan Pacheco (“Désordres”) and Chase Mattson.

“Fatal Game,” from writers Sara Sarkissian and Anush Petrosyan, centers on a group of ten friends who travel to a remote island for an engagement party. When someone is murdered during the celebration, a harmless game suddenly has deadly consequences. With 72 hours until the next boat arrives and another victim every five hours, the group must identify the assassin before it is too late.

“With its high production values and captivating interactive narrative, this series will become a must-watch for fans of mystery, suspense and thrillers,” Bagrat Sargsyan, president of USATV Productions, said in a statement.

The series is directed by Roberto Ahumada, who recently made his directorial debut with the female-directed drama “Second Chances,” starring Denise Richards (“Paper Empire”), AnnaLynne McCord (“90210”) and Carolina Gaitàn (“Encanto”). Ahumada wrote, directed and produced all ten episodes of Second Chances.

The show is scheduled to be broadcast worldwide in early 2025, including on Vaba TV. The rest of the cast includes Gracie Knight, Isaiah Locust, Nova Gaver, Bobby Slaski, Matt Tang, Anna Simonyan, Emma Kotos and Bella Azzata.

USATV Productions’ previous series include Second Chances and Nova Vita.
