The New Jersey Devils are looking for a fourth victory in a row to continue their playoff boost if they align the bruins on Tuesday evening.

The Devils (41-29-7, 89 points) have been idle against the Rangers since a 4-0 victory on Saturday and New Jersey has a 10-point pillow over New York to get third place in Metropolitan Division.

The Bruins are now out of hunting, and their recent efforts were a microcosm of their season.

After grabping her 10-game skid against Carolina on Saturday, Boston (31-38-9, 71 points) returned to his inconsistent game the next evening by taking 2-0 against Buffalo and then allowed the last four goals of a final 6: 3 defeat against the Sabres.
