ForbesToday ‘Wurm’ #1369 Notes, information and answer for Wednesday, March 19, March 19

Well, the week is almost over. Thursday has arrived and that means that yesterday – on Wednesday – I gave them an additional puzzle to solve it. Today I give you the answer. This was the puzzle:

You have a bucket with a gallon water and a bucket with a gallon wine. They fill a cup of wine and pour them into the water bucket. Then fill the measuring cups with a cup of water wine mixture and pour back into the wine bucket. Is there more water in the wine or more wine in the water at this point?

The answer: both will be the same. This is difficult and there is a whole mathematical explanation that I will not record here. However, feel free to google it.

My opening rates was excellent. I was to blame with two green boxes, a yellow box, and although I didn’t know it at the time, five possible solutions. I had four: bathing, basting, load barge and badge. I didn’t think of Barre, which turned out to be fifth word. In any case, I qualified, which I should choose or whether I should try to find a second assumption that would narrow down my decisions. Finally I decided that I would go with my stomach and try bast. Fortunately it was the worm!

Competitive cubes

I get 2 points to guess in two and another because I did the bot that has made four attempts today. 3 points for me! The bot now gets 0 to guess in four and -1 because he has lost to me. Bwahahaha!

My March runs overall: 19 points.

Was it totally Bot’s running: 4 points.

How to play competitive worm

  • Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; Guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; Guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; Guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; Guessing in 5 is -1 points; Guessing in 6 is -2 points and the lack of the worm is -3 points.
  • If you hit your opponent, you get 1 point. When you build, you will receive 0 points. And if you lose your opponent, you get -1 points. Add it to get your score. Take a daily run every day or play for a new score every day.
  • On Fridays there are 2XP, which means that you double your points – positive or negative.
  • You can keep a player or simply play every day. Enjoy!

Today’s worm etymology

The word “bast” comes from the middle English BastWhich in turn comes from old French BasterWhich means “loose” (in sewing) or “to be moist” (in the feeling of cooking). The two uses probably have separate etymological roots:

  • Sewing feeling: from the old French Bastir means “building, constructing” (in relation to preparation or creating fabric).
  • Kochsinn: Probably from the middle English BastPossibly influenced by similar old French roots, refers to moist meat with fat or juices during the roast.

Although sewing and cooking soil sound the same, the meanings of sewing and cooking may develop on different origins, but have developed similarly in English.
