Looking back to a time so much urgency and inconsistency, these fleeting moments of the connection seem to be even more moving. It is really proof of the power of Love Even and his ability to withstand the most unimaginable dispute and conflict.

Many of us may wear the love stories of our own parents and grandparents from his time, but for those who don’t, read on. And frankly, even those who do will hear this touching story.

Drew Coyle told how he discovered hundreds of hearty letters that his grandmother Helen sent to his grandfather Bill, who recorded her epic love story of a short, yet strong blind date to a promise until it lasted for years to discovered hundreds of hearty letters, which was sent by his grandmother Helen, to fulfill him for years.

Bill and Helen met for the first time December 7, 1944 While both were stationed in the Phillipines – Bill, a traveler Seemann and Hellen, volunteer work as the “Donut Girl” of the Red Cross. That night there was enough sparks on the dance floor that they promised to see themselves the next morning. Or as they called it, their “Mañana”.

But the promise of Mañana, as it turned out, would not be so easy. The next day, Helen was unexpectedly moved to Guam, where she stayed in a hut without a phone, and all the news at the reception was not always transferred to her recipient. Nevertheless, the young woman was determined to maintain her connection through the letters.

In the following you will find some of the deeply poetic words that she wrote in letter no. 75, which would be particularly central in her love story.

“We are there together, my dearest … we move forward, hand in hand … have we not already proven our own satisfaction that we go on the same way with the same reactions?

I am more satisfied than for ages … I have the feeling that I was about one of the greatest adventures in life, and it is in my nature to be eager when something new and strange and powerful imagines.

“It will be like it” has been like this since yesterday when I found out that it was you, with two of us who wanted it to be. I am reminded of the words of a man I knew once. He insisted that two people were stronger than anything else, stronger than one or three or five people. Maybe he was right, let us do it and prove the point.

Helen Bill assured that, although they were separated, he “no worries” about dance partners who steal them on the new island, “you always always” and asked him “not to give up” in order to find them.

She even drew a map in which she was detailed in detail where she was. It happened to include a nearby chapel.
