Tornado Watch exhibited as a heavy thunderstorm for the entire region – WPXI

Pittsburgh – On Sunday, heavy storms in waves move through the region.

With these storms there is a risk that the straight winds, hail and the chance of damage to isolated tornados.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado watch for the entire WPXI consideration area until 4 p.m.

Update 3/16 12:35 p.m.

The National Weather Service says that the storm that is supposed to move through Pittsburgh is reported. The storm contains wind gusts of up to 70 miles per hour.

The agency also published a severe storm warning for parts of Beaver, Butler and Lawrence until 1:15 p.m.

Update 3/16 12:30 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of the West Moreland County until 1:15 p.m.

Update 3/16 12:15 p.m.

For the entire Allegheny County and parts of Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland County, a severe storm warning was issued until 1 p.m.

Parts of the counties Greene and Washington are under a severe storm warning until 12:45 p.m.

Parts of the counties Greene and Washington are under a severe thunderstorm warning until noon.

Shower waves can be expected in the morning. At noon, distributed thunderstorms develop that sweeps through the area between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The main concern of this first round is the harmful damage to the straight wind, but near the surface there is enough windshobs to support an isolated tornado threat.
