Transport commission for the discussion of ferry tariffs, toll and the future of transport from March 18 to 19 March March

At its meeting in March, the Washington State Transportation Commission will begin possible changes to the ferry tariff changes in the course of this year with the legislative decisions expected until the end of April. The preparations will also advance the toll point for three toll systems for central PUGET sounds, including the Gateway project in the counties King and Pierce, which are to be opened in phases during this year.

The public is invited to take part in Zoom on Zoom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, and on Wednesday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Those who want to attend the meeting can register for the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions on the Commission’s website. The meeting is also streamed live on TVW.

The virtual public comment is planned for 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Written comments can be submitted by e -mail [email protected].

Other topics that need to be dealt with at the March meeting are:

-Tactualization of long-haul plans of Washington Nationwide: The Commission will discuss the emerging political priorities that are included in the 20-year transport plan of the state and check the remaining steps to carry out the plan by the end of June.

– State Route 99 Tunnel fees: The Commission will check the analysis for a likely increase in toll fees on July 1st.

– Efficiency of the transport project Delivery: Representatives of the Illinois Department of Transportation and the City of Chicago will discuss their innovative partnership that has improved the efficiency of providing projects on state routes within the city.

-Road safety in the central -Pugt -Sound: The Commission will hear from a plan to improve traffic safety and to reduce traffic and injuries from PUGET Sound Regional Council.
