Trump’s nominations solidify Florida as the epicenter of the GOP

On November 5thThAfter months of Democrats claiming that Florida was still a swing state and in play, voters eclipsed the state, handing me, President-elect Donald Trump and the Republicans huge victories at the polls.

Now, as President-elect Trump selects one candidate after another from the Sunshine State to fill his Cabinet, he is cementing Florida as the epicenter of Republican politics and bringing the state’s success and common sense policies to Washington.

I am so proud of our next White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, and our next National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, and look forward to enthusiastically supporting the confirmation of my fellow Floridians, Marco Rubio, as Secretary of State and Pam Bondi, as Attorney General, agree.

This list of Florida Republican all-stars is ready to get to work to transform the country, advance the mandate of the American people, solve the problems created by the Biden administration on day one, and bring Florida’s success to Washington bring.

Florida has truly become the heart and soul of the Republican Party, and President-elect Trump, now proudly living in Florida himself, is deftly attracting talent from our state to make Washington Florida, and it all started with a true all- Star Floridian, Susie List.

I have known Wiles for 14 years. She ran my first campaign for governor in 2010, when I was an unknown outsider and businessman fighting to transform Florida’s economy. She is disciplined, smart, a brilliant tactician and knows how to lead a team like a well-oiled machine.

Wiles ran a fantastic campaign for President-elect Trump and is the perfect fit to lead the White House staff and ensure that the entire federal government is behind his agenda to Make America Great Again.

Although I will miss my friend in the U.S. Senate, I can’t think of anyone more qualified to be our next Secretary of State than Senator Marco Rubio. Rubio understands foreign policy, and Latin America in particular, better than anyone. He has a lifetime of personal and professional experience, including membership on the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which will provide the President with excellent guidance as he addresses issues on the world stage.

President-elect Trump already has a successful track record of supporting Israel and our allies around the world, is a champion of freedom and democracy in Latin America, and is cracking down on communist China, Russia and Iran to ensure that America’s interests come first.

With Rubio at the helm of President Trump’s State Department, the United States will quickly reverse Joe Biden’s dangerous appeasement policies, increase critical sanctions against murderous regimes, and make clear to our enemies and allies around the world that America always stands for freedom, democracy, and human rights becomes .

For Attorney General, Trump couldn’t have a better leader than Pam Bondi, who is so qualified to make liberals lose their minds that she will put an end to Democratic political jurisprudence and go after the real criminals plaguing our communities.

I worked with Bondi for eight years when I was Governor of Florida and she was Florida’s Attorney General to keep Florida safe and uphold our state’s laws. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is facing a crisis of public trust after years of Democrats weaponizing the justice system and the entire government and attacking President Trump. Bondi will fix this.

Under her leadership, Americans will have renewed confidence that the Department of Justice will actually enforce the law fairly, protect the rights of the American people and protect our nation, crack down on violent crime and dangerous drugs, and help secure America’s borders.

President Trump also made a smart choice in Floridian and incoming National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. A battle-decorated Green Beret, Waltz is a true patriot who has dedicated his life to serving his country. I am honored to work with him in Congress to fight for Florida families on issues such as border security and ensuring a freer and more democratic Western Hemisphere, and I know that as our National Security Advisor he will work tirelessly to protect our country to protect and put America first.

Trump won with a voter mandate and it is no surprise that he is targeting Florida, the heart and soul of the modern Republican Party, to replace his administration. With these brilliant Floridians at the helm, Trump’s agenda to Make America Great Again is in trusted and experienced hands.

Now Senate Republicans must do our job by expeditiously confirming these great Floridians and all of his nominees to carry out the President-elect’s agenda for the American people.

Time to get to work!
