Turner scratches from Phillies’ second game with back cramp – NBC Sports Philadelphia

Washington-Trea Turner became second in the first place in the building of the Phillies on Saturday after he was ceded on the opening day, but he was scratched with a weak back cramp an hour before the season.

The severity of the violation of Turner was not immediately clear, but he was replaced by Edmundo Sosa in Shortstop.

The Phillies intend to lead gymnasts against the left and Kyle Schwarber against legal enables. Turner took out Mackenzie Gore on Thursday and went with a walk with 28 parking spaces with a walk. He was supposed to compete against Mitchell Parker on Sunday, but that’s TBD.

Here was the line -up on Saturday against Nats right -handed Jake Irvin:

  1. Kyle Schwarber, ie (L)
  2. Alec Bohm, 3b
  3. Bryce Harper, 1b (L)
  4. JT Realmuto, C
  5. Max Kepler, LF (L)
  6. Nick Castellanos, RF
  7. Bryson Stott, 2b (L)
  8. Brandon Marsh, CF (L)
  9. Edmundo Sosa, SS

Jesus Luzardo, LHP

Whether gymnast or Schwarber above, it is important that the Phillies change alternative links and law in the first six jobs. On Thursday, Harper had the nationals paid with a Homer with the game because he had used a right-handed helper to try to navigate the right-wing section of Turner-Harper-Bohm. Ideally, you will receive this type of production opposite products in order to keep opposing managers honest in their decision -making in late game.

If this is only a one or two-day absence for gymnasts, there should be a good mix of both impacts in the first few weeks, with the Phillies in the first series in Washington, Kyle Freeland draw two left-handers in their first home series, and then probably Blake Snell and Chris Sale in the two.

In the first half of the game on Saturday at 4:05 p.m. there can be challenging shadows again, but luckily for the clubs it is a cloudy day than on Thursday, which could overturn the disadvantage.

At least on paper it should be a better day for the bats. The Phillies faced four times four times last year and scored more than four runs from him every time and won three of the games. Five different Phillies – Turner, Kepler, Realmuto, Stott and Marsh – took it deep.

Luzardo gives his Phillies debut. He feels healthy after having missed a large part of the last season with a back injury, and although he had a few shaky spring excursions, the much more important sign was his fastball and sink with four seasons an average of 96 miles per hour.
