“Two Toppy”: Indian H-1b, Green Card, Student Visa owner warned when the United States increased prison terms and delays

Indian citizens who keep H-1b visa, student visa and even green cards are reportedly asked to remain classified-or the risk of being locked up for months, if not longer, from the USA. Immigration lawyers increase red flags, while the visa politics intensify overnight and the Indians at US airports are exposed to surprising prison terms, even after years of legal life and work in America.

“A foreigners in particular those who need an H-1B or F-1-Visa renewal really need to think twice about leaving the USA now,” a local immigration lawyer in Seattle was quoted in Seattle and called it a tough but necessary warning.

Despite no official US travel ban in India, lawyers say that Indian travelers from Visa stamp delays, harder airports and random prison terms are made. For many, a journey home could turn into a month-long exile-and in some cases a permanent block for re-entry, regardless of earlier permits.

One of the greatest vibrations is a quiet change in the US State Department, which shortened the authorization for “Dropbox” -Ver Interview. Until recently, most owners of non-immigrants (with the exception of B visitors) could skip interviews if their visa has expired within 48 months. Now only those who renew the same visa type in the past 12 months qualify and leave thousands after severe interview slots.

Students of F-1-visa who switched to H-1BS and workers whose H-1b-Visa expired over a year ago are now being pushed to the back of the line without growing the options for fast tracks and growing fears to be stranded abroad.

But the problem goes deeper than planning nightmares. According to the report, immigration lawyers warn of an increasing number of Indian citizens in “Administrative Processing” -unexplained security checks and background checks -although they had several previous visas permits. Some see this as the return of the “extreme review” tactics, which is reminiscent of the Trump era.

And an H-1B permit on paper is not a guarantee. According to lawyers, consular officers can still refuse a visa and return cases to recover to USCIS and possibly be overseas for at least four to six months.

Without relief, immigration experts advise employers and employees to set up remote work plans if travel cannot be avoided.

Even green card holders are not safe. Lawyers say that more and more secondary inspections and even overnight stays are confronted by customs and border protection (CBP). Some are put under pressure to give up their green cards on site. The most vulnerable? Older Indians who separate between the United States and India to be with the family and are now aimed at the exam.

In view of the risks, the lawyers demand the owners of Green Card who have lived in the USA for decades – to apply for citizenship immediately – and remain on the basis of them until they receive this US pass.
