Uconn basketball star Paige Bueckers makes it a distance before she goes to bed

At the age of 23, Paige Bueckers has already strengthened as a force in women’s basketball: she is the fastest player in the history of Uconn, which reaches 2,000 career points. She was the first newcomer to the Wooden Award and Naishith Trophy Abnab – and next month she is forecast as number 1 in the WNBA design of 2025.

But so far BUecker’s honor has escaped: the NCAA title. Minnesota, Minnesota from Minnesota, came to Uconn with her heart to win a national championship, but while their huskies consistently were one of the most impressive teams in the NCAA, they could not take this top position.

In a sense, however, the team brought the team together: “Players, coaches, support employees, training staff, we are all very tight,” says Busters himself in an interview about Zoom in February. “If you go through something with someone else, you can base each other to base each other, for leadership, in good times and in bad times. You are always there for you.”

Win or lose during your last March Madness attempt -the huskies will start for the first time at this year’s tournament on March 22nd -BUECKERS is currently comforting in one thing: knowing what’s next. “It’s like a weight that is lifted from your shoulders,” she says.

Five years after she had been to the Huskies in 2020, she says that the “plan” should continue to be continued, although it is technically a season of justification (due to an ACL tear that she failed for the entire 2022-2023 season). Around this time last year there was much more uncertainty with her way: Bueckers was generally expected to send ’23 -’24 her last season and then sent shock waves through the basketball world when she revealed in another year in February 2024, as ESPN reported.

“I lacked part of me who wanted to stay, because of injuries. Now, however, she is ready to turn the site. “I’ve been here for five years. It was a long time ago, longer than the normal four-year college career, and so I felt that time was right,” she explains. “I had a great time here at Uconn, an amazing journey. I grew so much as a person as a person.

While Bueckers will miss her teammates and the wider Huskies family, she says that she also wants to learn and grow and grow in the WNBA among people such as Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and other stars. “As a small child I went to Minnesota Lynx Games and dreamed of being in her shoes and dreaming of being in the WNBA. I’m definitely not there yet, but God wants to be there,” she says. “If you have this opportunity to play in a league that I dreamed of, with players I look at, it is really enthusiastic about the future.”
