For the quarter -finals and the semi -finals, a draw was carried out to random which pages would play the first leg at home. The same applies to assigning the home team in the final.

This season there was a great revision of UEFA’s leading competition. Gone are the days of the 32-team group phase, which were replaced by a 36-team league. Each team plays eight games with the top eight, which automatically qualify for the 16th round, while the lower eight are eliminated and do not fall into the Europa League.

In the meantime, the teams that ended between the ninth and the 24th place go to a playoff round to decide which eight teams will enter into the co -part of the tournament.

The 16th round of 16 years continues in the context of the old format and continued with a set team that did not play well -respected teams, which leads to quarter -finals, semi -finals and finally the final itself.
