UNC women end the 26-year-old NCAA-Dürre, defeated Chattanooga in OT behind Cain to win the Socon title

Ashville, NC (AP) -Khalis Cain scored 20 points at career height, scored 12 rebounds and blocked five shots to increase Unc Greensboro on a 64:57 win in the extension against Chattanooga in Southern Conference on Sunday and the Spartans of her second NCAA tournament Berth, the second, the second, the second NCAA tournament, the first time since 1998.

It was also the first loss of championship in 21 appearances for the MOCs, which defeated the UNCG 69-60 in the title last year for their 17th NCAA trips.

Freshman Gianna Corbitt scored 18 points for the second seeds Mocs (16-14). Brooke Anya had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Karsen Murphy added 11 points.

Murphy’s 3 pointer with 48.4 seconds in the regulation, Chattanooga gave a 52-51 lead, but Cain came back with a free throw to bind it. Both teams missed a last attempt.

UNCG scored the first eight points and after a first half led 26-21, in which both teams shoot under 36%, but there were only six sales and five fouls.

Chattanooga converted his half-time to 11-0 and brought the game at 26 when Murphy scored a 3 pointer and took the first tour of two free throws from Anya at 5:23.
