Unexpected Thanksgiving find in the middle of a train car

Posted in a video on TikToka New Yorker revealed the unexpected location where a group of friends ate their Thanksgiving meal.

Instead of enjoying a private dinner at home or at a restaurant, the group opted to hold their celebrations on the subway – food and all.

“Only in New York?” The person captioned the short video, filming the group sitting at a real fold-out table and chairs in the middle of the train car. 

Despite the unusual choice of location, the group had organized everything from a proper tablecloth to dinnerware, plates and cutlery.

There was even a lit candle for decoration!

“When your apartment in New York isn’t big enough to host Thanksgiving dinner,” the TikToker wrote.

Towards the end of the video, the viewer filmed what appeared to be one of the men cutting a cooked turkey that they had brought for the occasion.

In the meantime, everything around the group continued as usual.

In the background of the clip, commuters can be seen going about their everyday lives as if it were a completely normal sight.

The video caught the attention of thousands on TikTok and sparked hundreds of amazed comments.

Meanwhile, Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue rang in the holidays with an appearance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
