Upgraded to M4 Mini Base 256/16 for half the price.

I went to the Apple Store. Simple, they signed me out of iCloud and found my computer, etc. Then they wiped the hard drive. I had to enter my name and password several times. After everything was cleared and everything they gave me, there was no gift card, physical or otherwise. I had an old M1 256SSD / 8GB RAM mini from January 29, 2021, my birthday. So it was almost 4 years old. Instead of a card, they simply applied the $230 that the old Mini was worth directly to the order. And my nephew is in Collage until December 12th, early graduation. They didn’t even ask for information or verify anything. He simply showed a student ID and another $100 came out. No name, email address or other offer, just the student ID flashing for 2 seconds. So a total of 330 failed. So I only paid $295 and 90 cents for 256GB SSD and 16GB RAM. Not bad. Would have been 600 + taxes, so maybe 660. So 364 savings not bad.

But I have this.

It holds the M1 Mini upright or flat and keeps liquids etc out. And he said if you trade in the old Mini you don’t need a power cord. I can keep it. But in my opinion it doesn’t work with the new M4 Mini. The clear was about 40 plus shipping and the cable was maybe 5 or 10. So maybe half if someone wanted 25 plus shipping. I have no use for the suitcase. It doesn’t fit the M4 because it’s too big. Only fits M1 and M2 if it is the same size as M1.

Otherwise so far so good. Only the placement of the power button is strange and makes it difficult to use. But I’ll post again if I find another solution.

I like these too. Screws onto the back of the monitor. Space saving. But I only see M1 variants. I don’t see any for M4. Is it too early to see her? Has anyone seen one for the M4?
