USA vs Canada time, TV, how to watch

There’s a lot at stake for rivals USA and Canada when they face off in the traditional New Year’s Eve game of the Junior Ice Hockey World Championship on Tuesday night.

Both teams are 2-0-1-0 and are tied at the top of Group A with seven points in the final game of the preliminary round. The winner secures the top spot and a quarterfinal game on Thursday against Switzerland, bottom of Group B. The Depending on the result, Finland-Latvia could fall to third place.

The defending champion USA defeated Germany and Latvia and lost to Finland in overtime. Canada, which won the 2022 and 2023 U20 tournament, edged out Finland and Germany with a surprise loss to Latvia.
