Utah jazz rookie just misses the significant award

After the Utah Jazz Guard Isaiah Collier had an impressive start to the new year, he was nominated among a group of four players in the first year as the Rookie of the NBA in January of the NBA rookie of the month.

However, he will only come to a short time.

According to the NBA, San Antonio Spurs Stephon Castle was appointed rookie of the month for the western conference and published other nominees together with Jaylen Wells by Memphis Grizzlies and Ryan Dunn by Memphis Grizzlies. As for the east, it was Miami Heat Big Man Kel’el Ware who took the respective award home.

Collier had a good fight for the award in January. The jazz rookie played 14 games in the course of the month, and while Utah over this route under a 3: 11 field.

Collier even made enough impression to land a starting place lately, and put him in the second unit next to Collin Sexton on the back court and moving Keyonte George in the second year. He took the opportunity and developed as one of the team’s best playmaker and sales dealer on the squad.

Despite the positive demonstrations, Castle was the one who took the hardware home. He ended an average of 14.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

Fortunately for Collier, he will have more time to get his deserved respect. Two other rookie of the Month Awards have to go for February and March, and if the jazz guard continues to move on the same production path, it will be difficult to keep it out of consistent considerations.
