Utah nurse arrested and accused of having killed friend for life insurance payment

A nurse in Utah is accused of having killed a friend from whom she was convinced that he was sick so that the nurse could redeem the woman’s life insurance.

Kacee Lyn Terry, 38, died on August 15 three days after the Lone Peak Police and the firefighters hurried to their house in Highland and found them “unconscious and fought to breathe”, such a likely affidavit in the case.

Meggan Randall Sundwall, 47, was arrested on Thursday due to severe murder and disability of the judiciary in the death of her friend.

It was found that Terry had died of an overdose of insulin and the calming Promethazine, as the medical examination decided.

But she was not diabetic. Your blood-sugar level had reached 14, said the police; A level of 40 is considered dangerously low.

Sundwall, a licensed registered nurse, knew that giving insulin would kill for a non-diabetic Terry, the affidavit claimed.

Sundwall is accused of contributing to a long -term property to convince Terry that she had cancer and that she has a medication, the police officer says.

It turned out that Sundwall had money problems and wanted to redeem itself with a “rumored life insurance of 1.5 million US dollar from Kacee” from which she believed that she was the beneficiary, according to the affidavit.

According to an affidavit, more than 28,000 text messages from December 2019 between Terry and Sundwall showed that “she believed that KaceE was very sick”.

The text messages detailed ways of how Sundwall could die Terry, and also discussed “Meggan’s money problems that have died from Kacee and Meggan received their life insurance distribution,” says the court document.

On the day the first aiders came to Terry’s house, Sundwall had sent the victim an SMS at 9:47 a.m. and asked: “Would you like to take Prometzine when I arrive there so that you can sleep when this happens?” the police said.

The suspect and the victim were together in Terry’s house from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the police said.

Terry’s uncle, Mark Farnsworth, called 911 after he found his niece on August 12 with Sundwall in her house, who told him “that Kacee had a DNR and she didn’t want to go to the hospital,” said the affidavit.

The uncle told the police that Terry had “big, big health problems”. In the hospital, the victim’s sisters said that Terry “had terminal cancer for 4-5 years, but according to affidavit, it was better”.

But in reality, Terry was perfectly fine and “had no cancer and no health problems,” said the affidavit.

Sundwall was held in the Utah County prison from Friday. It was not clear whether she had hired or assigned a criminal defense lawyer.

There was no answer to Sundwall’s landline or her husband’s cell phone.

The affidavit mentioned no proof that Terry had taken out life insurance with Sundwall as a beneficiary.

“A DNR was never found and there was no paperwork that Meggan Power of Attorney referred to,” said the affidavit.
