On January 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev headed a meeting in which a comprehensive system for growing profitable harvesting is listed and emphasized the need to optimize agricultural land for greater economic benefits. Over 5 million households are currently managing more than 500,000 hectares of homestead land, and the government aims to transform these spaces into strong economic assets, provide jobs and increase income.

The government’s support helped the local farmers to improve their agricultural practices. Modern agricultural techniques have led to a dramatic increase in harvest yields, with the average production per hectare of 18 tons to 38 tons. In numerous regions such as Asaka, Shakhrisabz and Yangiyul, the residents now harvest several times a year and achieve a significant income – up to UZS 20 million ($ 1,545) per hectare.

In order to bring this progress to the next level, President Mirziyoyev introduced several new initiatives to improve harvest production. This includes the establishment of a special council for farmers’ farms and farmsteads that will monitor everything, from the provision of seeds and seedlings to facilitating the processing and export activities. A new holding company, Uzagrostar, will manage these efforts with specialized companies for fruit and vegetable cultivation in 15 driver districts. These companies receive considerable financial support, including UZS 20 billion (USD 1.5 million), each from the state budget and USD $ 10 million.

In order to modernize the sector, a new system is implemented to support high -ranking plants. A “digital marketplace” connects farmers with buyers and enables smooth transactions between manufacturers, processors and exporters. In addition, the government has introduced measures such as preferred loans without collateral, grants for exemplary projects and subsidies for export -oriented production.

In order to continue to support the sector, 5 trillion US dollars ($ 386 million) are assigned to the financing of food production on budgets via UZS. Investments include cooling stores, greenhouses and processing facilities that are made available to farmers with flexible payment plans. In addition, farmers who use their country efficiently are offered incentives with tax breaks for those who earn 5 million ($ 386) per hectare via UZS.

The government has also asked long -term questions in agricultural land leasing. With 3,300 hectares of land, which are now available as part of a new procedure for the rental agreement, the focus is on analyzing soil quality and water availability to ensure efficient use of resources. In addition, a focus on domestic potato production will help to eliminate the dependence on imports, with plans for a national initiative to create high -ranking potato varieties that are adapted to the local conditions.

It is expected that these initiatives are employed 1.5 million people and further improve the agricultural landscape of Uzbekistan. Through the introduction of modern technologies, increasing access to resources and promoting market connections, the country is making progress in the direction of sustainable agricultural growth and nutritional security.
