Val Kilmer ignored these symptoms before cancer diagnosis

Val Kilmer, known for films like 1986’s Top weapon and 1995 Batman forever, forever, died on Tuesday, April 1, at the age of 65 of pneumonia.

In 2015, the actor was diagnosed with neck cancer and he later recovered. He shared his memoirs 2020, I am your Huckleberry, That he actually ignored some of his symptoms before he was hospitalized because of the illness.

In the book, he tells how he should perform his one-man show Citizen Twain in 2014, but had to cancel after the loss of his voice. He also noticed a lump in his neck and found that he was difficult to swallow – but he only looked for medical treatment in 2015.

“One night I suddenly aroused blood that covered the bed like a scene The Godfather. I prayed immediately and then called 911, ”he wrote in his book.

Kilmer was taken to the hospital and learned that the dumpling was cancer in his neck. He underwent a tracheotomy, chemotherapy and radiation and also turned to his Christian belief in science and prayed for healing. “I was not ready to die,” he said. “Healing was not born out of vanity, but was born out of honesty.”

“I have been healed by cancer for over four years and there has never been a occurrence. I am so grateful,” he wrote at the time.

Kilmer admitted that he had fought against larynx cancer for two years in an interview with 2017 with neck cancer for two years The Hollywood reporterin which he was accompanied by his children Mercedes and Jack. “Reports arose that I was in rejection. Well, rejection is a funny thing. I did not deny that I had cancer, but I just said that I couldn’t do it anymore,” he wrote in his memoir. “And to be honest, it was very difficult to take my original diagnosis. It was surreal. I didn’t think I was decomposed and I was not ready to die.”

Hals cancer is a general concept that applies to cancer types that develop in the pharynx (neck) or larynx (voice box). Frequent symptoms are a lump on the neck, ear pain, sore throat, difficulties in swallowing, hoarseness, persistent cough or coughing blood.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, the symptoms of larynx cancer usually remain unnoticed until the disease progresses. It is therefore important to look for medical care if the symptoms do not improve.
