VALORANT Season 2025 Release Date, Act 1, New Agent, Battlepass

Riot Games is ushering in 2025 by fundamentally upending the competitive structures of its titles. The studio previously changed League of Legends’ format to follow annual season phases, and now it looks like VALORANT will follow suit. VALORANT’s Season 2025 Act I will arrive soon and will include a new ranked launch and a long-awaited new agent, Tejo. Additionally, the game will feature a new skin line, a new battle pass, and a new flex category for cosmetic items. Let’s explore everything VALORANT players can expect from Season 2025 Act 1, including information on the new Agent and more.

VALORANT’s ranked structure previously consisted of episodes lasting approximately 6 months. These episodes were divided into three acts, each approximately two months long. Players would receive three Act Ranks, which will be soft reset after the Act ends, and hard Episode Ranks.

Now VALORANT Ranked will replace its episodes with a year-based season schedule. The 2025 season will continue to feature multiple acts, and Riot Games will likely explain this competitive structure change and renaming selection in more detail in future updates. Act I of the 2025 VALORANT Season begins on January 8, 2025. The season will feature a futuristic technology theme with space-themed Battlepass items, a sci-fi skin line, and a new Secret Service agent.

VALORANT’s newest Battlepass launches with Season 2025, Act I, on January 8, 2025. In addition to various skin sets and cosmetics, it also contains a flex item. The Moon Scout line, including an Outlaw, features retro-futuristic space themes with red, white and blue rocket stickers. The pass’s Celestial skins are purple with gold moon and star accents, and the Heiroscape skins are silver and deep indigo.

The battle pass has free and paid tiers and will cost 1,000 VALORANT Points or about $10. The paid track includes a Heiroscope melee weapon. Below is a list of highlight items:

The EX. O skin line will be published on January 9, 2025. Like the Battlepass skins, it will have a high-tech vibe. The skin line includes four weapons (a Vandal, sheriff, outlaw And spook) and a katana melee call “The EX. O Edge’. Riot Games has not yet revealed how much this skin set costs, what tier it is, and whether players can use it to purchase individual items.

According to official VALORANT announcements Flex is “the first new cosmetic content type since launch in the form of wearable items, giving players more ways to express themselves in the game.” Players can equip Flex items in their hands at any time during a match using the Spray Wheel. Riot Games notes that using Flex does not give players any advantages in the game: hitboxes do not change when one is equipped, no third-person animations appear, and players who use them move at skill speed instead of melee speed.

According to the VALORANT team: “To celebrate the launch of Flex this week, players will receive a free Flex in their collection.“This Flex will be automatically credited to each user’s account. All VALORANT players can obtain another, the Stellar Dendrite Flex, from the 2025 Season Act I paid Battlepass tier.

Colombian intelligence officer Tejo is VALORANT’s newest agent. He joins the title squad January 8, 2024 at the beginning of the next law.

Riot Games describes Tejo by saying:

Tejo, an experienced intelligence advisor from Colombia, uses his ballistic guidance system to pressure the enemy into giving up his ground – or his life. His targeted strikes throw opponents off balance and under his heels.

Description by Riot Games

The code name of Tejo probably comes from the game “Tejo”, a traditional Colombian sport. These are heavy metal discs that players throw at targets filled with gunpowder. This correlates with Tejos’ equipment, which includes several explosives-based abilities.
