Vanna White works on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ for 34 days

Vanna White recently shocked the hosts of “Elvis Duran and The Morning Show” by unveiling that she only worked on “Wheel of Fortune” 34 days a year. She has been co-moderator of the legendary game show since 1982, where she worked with Pat Sajak for 42 years. Sajak retired from “Wheel of Fortune” last year. White has now organized Ryan Seacrest.

“We film about 34 days a year,” said White when Radio Elvis Duran and Danielle Monaro snapped to air. “That’s it. But (we film) six shows a day. Come on … you could feel bad for me. “

“I’m not sorry,” joked Duran. “That sounds like a great job.”

“These are six different clothes a day,” added Monaro, to which White replied: “It is!”

When asked whether this meant that she was free to get 331 days free, White replied: “Yes, I think so. I’ve never looked at it that way. “

White expanded her “Wheel of Fortune” contract by two years in 2023, which she kept in the air until the 2025-2026 television season. Her New Deal came in the middle of reports that she had worried about her future at the “Wheel” after the managers were said to be “interchangeable”. There was also a reporting in Puck that White had not received a salary increase for 18 years. TMZ reported that White had negotiated a “significant increase in salary” for her new deal after she had reportedly deserved $ 3 million a year.

During her interview with Duran, White admitted that “of course” together with Seacrest was an adaptation after her four decades of the co-moderator “Rad” with Sajak.

“Pat has decided to retire. I saw him a few weeks ago, ”she said. “He looks happy. He looks great. Ryan took over and he does a great job. He said to me: ‘Nobody could ever replace Pat Sajak. I am only here to fill. ‘”

“Wheel of Fortune” is currently in the 42nd season.
