This year’s PFL schedule is nearing its end, with the 2024 PFL Championship marking the penultimate event.

It is also a significant event as six new $1 million champions are set to be crowned in Saudi Arabia. However, it also comes amid some negative headlines for the organization, as several Bellator advocates expressed complaints about inactivity around the one-year anniversary of PFL’s acquisition of the company.

The entire situation has led to discussions about whether the PFL is doing enough to be a legitimate No. 2 option for the UFC in MMA or whether it has fallen short of co-founder Donn Davis’ mission to become co-leader the industry.

MMA Junkie senior reporter Mike Bohn reviewed the state of the PFL and Bellator in 2025 on his podcast “The Bohnfire” with MMA Junkie staff reporter Nolan King. You can watch the entire conversation above.
