More than 80% of the votes are for the continuation of the strike of the merger of the transit union.

“With a vote of 188 yes, until 919 no,” said Atu Local 265 President Raj Singh.

“The introduction of objects that have been removed from the conversation ultimately dictates the results we received today,” said Singh.

After the vote, the VTA publishes an explanation that is partly:

“VTA has presented a more than fair proposal, which ensures that the employees receive competitive wages and strong advantages for themselves in their families. At a time when so many employees in the entire industry are confronted with uncertainty and job losses, VTA is proud to offer stability and opportunities.”

While the strike dresses, the VTA announced on Monday that they offer 5 dollars for affected commuters twice a day.

“I wish you would come to a deal. It is the third week. The type of knee of the city has just been completed. Nobody is really able to get around,” said Asrat.

The VTA commuter Thomas Asrat has been saying since the strike that he was forced to run most places in San Jose.

Both the VTA and the ATU say that they are open to ongoing negotiations and want to start meditation again soon.

Even if both sides blame the other for the previously failed negotiations.

“They are those who continue to stand up to this conversations instead of trying to agree as soon as possible and receive services,” said Singh.
