Warriors star Stephen Curry reaches 25,000 career points

San Francisco (AP) -Stephen Curry was the 26th player in NBA history, who scored 25,000 career points and reached the milestone in the third quarter of Golden State Warriors’ 115-110 victory by Golden State Warriors.

“Boom! Boom! Boom!” Curry screamed as he ran through the hallway back to the changing room after returning to the court after a quick return to the court.

And that was actually a tribute to teammates Draymond Green, who loves to scream “boom” after making a 3 pointer and taking 35 seconds ahead of the starting shot. Green secured the game ball for curry.

Curry, who turned 37 next Friday, exceeded 25,000 with a 3-point in the 8: 32 mark of the third quarter and then received a warm ovation when he was recognized during a break with 5:42.

He ended with a total of 32 points to 25,017-beim 8-against-22 shooting and converted all 12 of his free throws.

His next remarkable task is to be the first player in the league to make 4,000 3-point pointers. Curry made four Saturday and needs seven more.

“It’s crazy, crazy,” said coach Steve Kerr. “It actually feels like 25,000 3. It is dynamite. Only night after night and tonight was obviously not a great shooting night for him. But I thought it was great that he played fatigue and physical defense and came into the line 12 times. He was brilliant in one night when his shot was really not there, he was still brilliant. That is the sign of a great player. “
