The Washington Nationals today announced the launch of NATS20, a season-long 20th anniversary celebration thanking fans for two decades of #NATITUDE. The campaign is highlighted by the “Cheers to 20 Years” sweepstakes and features in-park giveaways, special alumni appearances and the opportunity for fans to relive their fondest memories from the first 20 years of Nationals baseball. Details of the competition – the biggest in the club’s history – will be announced next week when single-game tickets go on sale.

“From our first game at RFK to Ryan Zimmerman’s walk-off to open Nationals Park to the 2019 World Series, the last 20 years have been full of amazing and unforgettable moments,” he said Mark D Lernermanaging principal owner of the Washington Nationals Baseball Club. “And while the players, the stadium and even the logo have changed, our fans have remained the same, which is why we are delighted to put them at the heart of our 20th anniversary celebrations. We look forward to hearing their stories and telling many more with the next generation of our players and fans.”

The 2025 Nationals promotional calendar, including exclusive NATS20 giveaways, will be revealed next week when single-game tickets go on sale, along with details of the Cheers to 20 Years competition.

In 2025, Nationals fans will have the opportunity to choose theirs 20 favorite moments from the last 20 seasons. The top 20 picks will be displayed throughout the ballpark starting Opening Day, including as new signage on the outfield parking garages. A panel of former players, broadcasters and staff will submit their initial list for consideration, and from January 15-31, fans can vote on their favorites – whether they are or not – at nats.com/NATS20 Howie Kendricks Homer from the foul pole, Jordan Zimmermann No-hitter or even Teddys first victory in the Presidents Race.

The 20th anniversary celebrations begin on 2025 National Team Homecoming Galathat celebrates the power of baseball in the community. The team’s premier off-the-field event begins with a star-studded red carpet and fan fest at The Wharf before heading to The Anthem for the 2025 Power of Baseball Award presentation.

The 2025 Nationals season begins on Thursday, March 27 against the Philadelphia Phillies at 4:05 p.m. The club will recognize the milestone throughout the regular season special 20th anniversary patches Worn on the team’s home and away caps. To celebrate the club’s 20th anniversary in DC and recognize the next generation, the season will also feature four NATS20 gifts, former player appearances, NATS20 Tuesdays and more.
