Watch Live: Trump meets 2024 World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the White House

Washington (AP) – The Los Angeles Dodgers say that they accepted President Donald Trump’s invitation to the White House to celebrate their World Series title.

The Dodgers are expected to appear at 11 a.m. Edt with the president. Watch live in our player above.

On Tuesday evening, the Dodgers confirmed in a social media contribution that “Trump invited them in accordance with the long-term baseball tradition and accepted them. The team said that the visit will take place on April 7, before opening a series in the Washington National, and adds that members of the team, Capitol Hill to visit on April 8.

Manager Dave Roberts called it a great honor that every World Series champion can experience. Roberts said it was not a formal conversation that he and the players go to the White House.

The reigning Stanley Cup master of NHL, Florida Panthers, was the first team that Trump visited in his second term when they were honored in the early February during a ceremony in the Eastern Zimmer.

The White House also said that the Super Bowl champion of the NFL Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL accepted its invitation for April 28th.
