The high school basketball season continues with more great action Thursday night. Roselle Catholic battles Westfield on Naz Reid Night, and Central Regional looks for its seventh straight win in a divisional battle with Donovan Catholic. Check back as highlights will be released throughout the night!

Tyrease Hunter scored all of his 24 points in the second half as the Lions erased a 14-point halftime deficit to claim a victory on the night they took off Minnesota Timberwolves great Naz Reid’s jersey at halftime. Westfield took an 18-5 lead at the end of the first period and led 34-20 at halftime. Hunter scored 16 points in the third period and brought RC within two points by the fourth period. Trevon Lewis added 18 points for the Lions (10-3), while Westfield was paced by Tyshawn Pearson’s 12 points.

The Golden Eagles put on a fantastic defensive performance as they cruised past the Griffins for their seventh straight win and moved one step closer to the Shore Conference “A” South Division title. Jaycen Santucci and Jayson King paced Central, both finishing the game with 14 points. Royalty Riley added 10 points in the win for Central Regional (11-1). Ryan Jacobs scored his team’s highest score in a loss to Donovan Catholic (5-7).
