Back in July, he kicked a man who was walking with his son. Then we found out that he had also hit a child with autism just a month earlier. NOW WE HAVE A STATEMENT FROM THE CITY THAT HE IS BACK IN THE DEPARTMENT AND PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY. If you don’t give me your ID, I will take you to jail for lack of identification. This is the voice of Monte Goodwin. And that’s the incident that started it all. NOW REINSTONED. WATONGA POLICE GOODWIN STOPPED JOHN SEXTON AND HIS SON, CLAIMING SEXTON LOOKED SUSPICIOUS, AND HAD BRIEFLY CAUGHT HIM ON VIDEO. What are you doing to my son? The SBI investigated the use of force and the prosecutor decided not to file charges in the July 4th case. But after a personnel review, the city fired him in August. NOW KOCO HAS LEARNED THAT GOODWIN IS FIGHTING HIS FINALIZATION AND THE CITY’S POLICE REVIEW BOARD HAS APPROVED AN ACTION TO REINSTATE HER ON TUESDAY. OSBI was conducting a use of force investigation into this as well, and the District Attorney’s Office told KOCO today that they are still working on whether to file charges, and the District Attorney’s Office told me today that they will make that decision sometime in the next few weeks should complete.
