Will Blake Corum play in Week 17?

Corum is not listed on the injury report this week, so barring any setbacks he is on track to play this weekend.

We will continue to monitor the Rams’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.

Should you start or sit with Blake Corum in Week 17?

Corum rides once or twice a game, and that’s sweet. It’s also annoying for those carrying Kyren Williams’ bags, but that’s all. It’s just a wrinkle, not a feature.

The rookie has played under 20% snap percentage in three straight games and for most of the season, save for an exceptional Week 13 win over the Saints in which he was on the field for 32.7% of the Rams’ games .

Corum has yet to clear eight ball contacts in a game this year. While holding a handcuff was a logical strategy up to this point, now you’re in go-for-it mode. You don’t have to cut ties with Corum, but if you’re trying to maximize the number of flex options you have in a situation where survival is at stake, I’d much rather use that roster spot for a home run. Hit receiver or a secondary RB if there are questions about the starter.

As things stand, we have no reason to believe Williams will see less than his normal workload this week, meaning Corum isn’t projected as a viable piece.

PFN insight into the Cardinals defense

The Arizona Cardinals’ run defense issues haven’t gotten as much attention as their pass defense woes. Finally, success in the passing game tends to correlate more strongly with wins and losses, and Arizona still ranks last in pass success rate.

However, Sunday’s loss to the Panthers was a stark reminder that this is also the 28th-ranked unit in run percentage.

Arizona allowed Chuba Hubbard and Bryce Young to rip off long runs, resulting in -0.22 EPA per rush allowed. That was the Cardinals’ second-worst performance in a game all season, trailing only their loss to Washington in Week 4.

The Cardinals took a step forward in 2024, but the ending will feel like a disappointment after Arizona was the clear favorite to win the NFC West at midseason. The lack of defensive talent beyond Budda Baker was a known flaw on the roster early in the season and one that will require a significant commitment of offseason resources for 2025.
