The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Alabama fell 3.7 cents over the past week, averaging $2.68 on Monday, according to a GasBuddy survey of 3,348 gas stations in Alabama.

That’s 6.2 cents per gallon less than this time last month and 16.4 cents per gallon less than this time last year.

Nationally, prices fell 0.6 cents per gallon last week, falling to $3 on Monday. The national average price of diesel rose 1.1 cents last week to $3.51 a gallon.
