Last night around 1:20am all the cars parked on the street on my block were searched. Between SW Holden and SW Webster one car slowly dropped to 31st. Our rRing camera recorded when they hit my husband’s truck at 1:21am. They took his prescription sunglasses and ice scraper. My husband says they knew what they were doing because his truck was locked and the alarm was on. I know they hit our neighbors in the house next to us and the camera caught them making their way to the car across the street.

PORCH RAINERS: The first photo and report comes from a Gatewood resident:

At approximately 3:00 PM today, at the intersection of 37th and Southern, I saw a blue Hyundai Tucson 4D hatchback slowly driving north on 37th and stopping. A man (around 30, bearded, medium build, possibly of Middle Eastern or Indian descent) got out of the car, rolled down the windows and walked empty-handed to my neighbor’s house, where there appeared to be what appeared to be a large package on the stairs seemed to be.

I confronted him from a safe distance and asked him why he was there. He said, “I work for that guy.” I asked, “What guy – what’s his name?” and the man yelled a profanity, jumped in his car and drove off westbound on Southern St. Strangely, the box on my neighbor’s stoop was empty and only covered a planter. 7 a.m. visit of this fugitive in Highland Park (Wednesday). I think the click and light of the camera being on scared her.
